    Francois Lanzi. Francois Lanzi was born in Corsica and studied art in Paris under Guillot de Raffaillac. A prisoner of war from , he came to live in the UK in and exhibited at a number of London Galleries including Redfern Gallery , Royal Society of British Artists Gallery & , Savage Gallery and Royal Academy It was purchased by the Tate Gallery in , after being exhibited at the Leo Castelli Gallery in , and (now at the Tate Modern) has remained in their collection ever since.
